About The Good Fight - Motion Pictures

Dean J. Augustin is an award winning Texas based writer and director. His writing credits include, “Champions of Industry,” a regular feature on CNN’s Headline News, and The Discovery Channel. Dean has rewritten two original feature scripts for producer Michael Waxman (The Insider, Ali.)  After winning the American Cinema Foundation Screenwriting Contest, Dean started “The Good Fight - Motion Pictures” to create, and promote his unique method of filmmaking.  In 2003, Dean's first film, “The Secret Journal of Benny Travis,” won a Platinum Remi Award at Worldfest in Houston and was an Official Selection at The Fredrick Festival of Film, The Philadelphia Video Festival, and The EdgeWorks Film Festival.  In 2004, Dean’s documentary, “The Enemy,” received the Golden Lion Award for Best Documentary at the George Lindsey UNA Film Festival. Dean’s documentary "Anthem" received a film documentary Remi Award at the 2005 Houston International Film Festival and was an official selection at The Short Film Corner during the Festival de Cannes. In 2006, Dean's documentary, "The Range," was selected to open the first South Padre Island Film Festival. In 2009, "Hey Dillon" was awarded a Platinum Reel Award from the Nevada Film Festival Dean's fourth major film award.
